Strategy Tips for High Scores
To become the top Mercenary, you need more than just twitch reflexes. Here are a few strategic tips:
* Stay Mobile: Never stand still. The enemy ships track your general direction, but they cannot predict erratic movement. Keeping your ship in motion ensures you don’t get trapped in a corner.
* Prioritize Targets: Focus fire on the Heavy Dreadnoughts (Red squares) early. If you let them clutter the screen, their high HP makes them dangerous obstacles that are hard to remove when things get chaotic.
* Risk vs. Reward: While colliding with enemies hurts you, sometimes it is worth taking a small hit to grab a power-up or position yourself for a massive multi-kill (though currently, collision is the primary danger, so avoid it at all costs unless you have a shield mechanic update!).
* Screen Real Estate: Try to stay in the bottom third of the screen. This gives you the maximum amount of reaction time to see enemies spawning from the top.
